Alvamere is a delightful terraced Lakeland cottage, situated in Church Street, a quiet area of Keswick only a 5 minute walk from the town centre and shopping area. The cottage is fully equipped to a high standard with modern appliances. The accommodation has deservedly been awarded Visit England’s three star rating.

Alvamere: The middle one of three pretty terraced cottages shown in the above photograph. All are faced with locally quarried lakeland slate.

Lounge: With flat screen digital TV and DVD player. A selection of books, jigsaws, board games etc. are available for the entertainment of all ages, as well as folders containing local information and OS maps for walkers.

Dining kitchen: With electric oven and hob, electric kettle, toaster, fridge with small ice compartment, microwave, and washing machine. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering.

Bedroom 1: A spacious double bedroom on the first floor, with CD clock radio and cottage pine furniture.

Bathroom: This facility is also on the first floor and has been refurbished recently; it is fitted with a full sized bath, and shower over the bath.

Bedroom 2: A twin bedded room on the second floor, with cottage pine furniture.

There in on street parking in Church Street or nearby.

Guests can sit outside in the shared garden area behind Goodwin House. Chairs and a small table are provided for this purpose, stored in a small shed to the rear of the property.

Bed linen is included in the rental, but towels are not.

WiFi is included and there is a good signal for most mobile networks.

We regret that we do not accept pets.

Generally bookings run from Friday to Friday. If you are looking for a short break or a different start day, please feel free to call us to discuss your requirements.

We usually request a non-refundable deposit of £150.00 at the time of booking, with the balance to be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the beginning of the stay. The booking cannot be regarded as firm until we have confirmed it by email following receipt of the deposit. Confirmation of the booking is normally within a day or two of receipt of the deposit. If we are unable to confirm the booking for any reason at that stage, any cheque for the deposit will be returned promptly.
